Introduction to the Nature Method

Cole Whetstone, who received his B.A. in the classics from Harvard University and M.A. from the University of Oxford, makes two very bold claims in his lecture: 

1. "Harvard & Oxford failed to teach me languages."

2. "You already know the basics of every single language."

These claims are based on the Nature Method, which proves that acquiring a language is, in fact, only a matter of comprehensible input. Whetstone shocks the audience by giving a live demonstration of the method in Latin, German, French, Italian, and even Sanskrit. Amazingly, the audience was able to understand a majority of what he was saying - despite the fact that none of them spoke any of those languages! He explains that language acquisition is a natural phenomenon and, even for Latin and other ancient languages, does not require the study of grammar.
